In mid October Tom Maderios, Head brewer of Twickenham Fine Ales, came up to Potbelly Brewery. A 10 bbl recipe was successfully brewed after a good night out
The 40 x 9’s racked off a week later were split in half, enabling it to be enjoyed around both our breweries areas.
With receiving good feedback from Joint Effort 4.8%, we shall look forward to more “twinned” brews in the future.

Bambi and Trina of Eastfield – a local Punk Rock group, were invited along to our brewery to witness the sparge after the mashing in of Eastfield IPA.
At 7.0% it was Potbelly’s first attempt at a strong IPA. A limited brew that will be released over the coming months, hopefully to be enjoyed at both festivals and the bands appearances.

| Leicester Beer Festival Special |
Potbelly brewery has been approached by Leicester CAMRA branch to brew a Festival Ale to feature in its Leicester Beer Festival on 15th-18th March.
What a brilliant idea!!
The work load will be lightened by having about 6 of the branches members helping out on the brewday, due to take place in early February. Having given input into the style of beer and pumpclip artwork I’m sure they''ll feel rewarded with the beer on tap in the cold room :)
"Pigs do Fly" will also mark the first anniversary of our brewery’s opening - the name quite apt with the flying start and success we have enjoyed in its first year.
